Overview And Experience
Christopher M. Jones joined James H. Horton Law Firm, P.C. as an Associate in April, 2019. Prior to joining our team, Chris practiced law in Denton County as a sole practitioner for 17 years. His areas of practice include: criminal defense, family law, personal injury, and general civil work. He also practices traffic and class C misdemeanor defense, as well as representing clients with driver license suspensions and revocations.
Chris grew up in Mesquite, Texas and earned his Bachelor of Arts from Stephen F. Austin State University. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the Texas Tech University School of Law. Chris has concentrated his practice specifically in Denton County, where he has established excellent relationships with judges and his attorney colleagues. Chris has a genuine passion for helping people who are involved in difficult situations in their lives, and chose a career in law to be able to do just that.
Chris is licensed to practice in the State of Texas, and is a member of the Denton County Bar Association and the Denton County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
In his down time, Chris enjoys traveling, camping, attending concerts, bowling, and spending time with his wife Shannon and their three dogs.
